Life restarts here

Exhale Counselling & Mentoring - Counselling Service

Are you feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope? Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or emotional distress? Life’s challenges can sometimes feel too much to handle alone, but you don’t have to face them without support. Counselling offers a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your feelings and achieve a greater sense of well-being.

Exhale Counselling & Mentoring provides integrative counselling tailored to your individual needs. Our practice is primarily person-centred, and we believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is fundamental to healing and personal growth. While we focus on a person-centred approach, we also incorporate elements of other therapeutic models to support each individual best.

We have experience working with various issues and diagnoses, offering short-term and long-term therapy. Sessions can be held weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you. We understand that receiving a diagnosis, whether related to mental health or neurodiversity, can bring up a range of emotions and challenges. Counselling provides a space to explore what your diagnosis means for you and how to navigate life with greater self-awareness and self-compassion.

For five years, we have worked specifically with individuals affected by sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. This experience has given us deep insight into trauma and its long-term effects, allowing us to offer a sensitive and understanding approach to those navigating these experiences.

Our counselling room is based in Highwoods, Colchester, conveniently located close to the A12 for easy access. Our location is easily reachable whether you are travelling from Colchester town centre or surrounding areas. We also have an allocated parking space for clients, ensuring a hassle-free visit.
